Have you ever tasted wine from a volcano?

Recently a friend of ours brought us back a bottle of Macadamia Nut Honey Wine from Volcano Winery in Hawaii and if you have not been lucky enough to taste wine from the fiery depths of the earth, let me describe the it for you… It starts on the palate with a definite sweet honey note, then it sharpens into a crisp green apple taste, finally  rounding out with a slight rich nuttiness  All in all its very robust in its own way, and  I would suggest to drink it as a dessert wine, such as you would an ice wine or port.  It was a very magical playful wine, much like its origin.
